Awana
meets on Sunday nights from 5:45-7:30 pm.
Welcome to AWANA! Awana is a program designed to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to serve Him. Our club is one of approximately 14,000 programs around the world with more than 10,000 of them residing in American churches. The Awana program builds a solid foundation for the Christian life through scripture memorization and application in our daily lives. We hold onto God’s words from Proverbs 22:6 which state, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Awana is an acronym for “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed,” based on 2 Timothy 2:15 which reads, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” We are looking forward to a successful and fun year with God’s richest blessings! Our prayer is that this year will be a blessing to you and your child and if there is anything that our staff or church family can help you with, please feel free to call or visit. The spiritual needs and growth of your child in having a relationship with God is our priority. While in Awana, your child will be required to wear a uniform, which promotes unity and consists of either a vest or a shirt. The uniform must be worn to receive awards. Parents will be responsible for the purchase of uniforms and handbooks. Clubbers will be required to pay weekly dues of 50¢. These dues help to offset the operations cost of the program. If your child has any special medical information that we should know, please provide this information to the Awana leadership immediately.
